I have some d2 aproximitly 1” x 2” x 5”. I cant use it for removel type knife making because of the thickness, can it be used for forging? If so is anyone interested in it. I have about 25 blocks of it.

D2 is an air quenching steel and as such it presents a problem when you go to forge it. It can be done but it takes someone who can keep an eye on the heat in the steel and not strike it when it's too cool. Maybe someone would like a block to make a maker's mark with.

I've seen some forged D2 blades on Jay Hendricksons table before so I know it can be done. He is an expert for sure but I'd like to try a few blocks if you're willing to send me some. I'd gladly pay Priority shipping.
