Hi everyone,
Just got back last night from a trip to North Carolina and a class at the Haywood college. This new ABS class was taught by Kevin Cashen.
My first time taking a class with Kevin and he is a fantastic instructor.
I've crammed a whole lot of knife making info into a week(a very COLD week!)
Here are some pics to help tell the story.
Mace
These blades are all hand forged.....mine is the one on the left.
My blade with a guard Kevin forged out and I ground and then fit.
The quillon guard taking shape.
Bill "Ringo" Wiggins on one of six Bader grinders at the school.
Butch
The blade butch is working on is in red layout...Kevins is the clean one.
A peak over Bills shoulder.
