This is my first time working with ivory, I learned a lot. Also, my first real tooling, I made a stamp and went to town on the sheath face before I assembled it. Hope you all enjoy. Specifications follow-
5/32" thick 3 5/8" blade, 1075/15n20 pattern welded billet from Two Finger Knife.
304 stainless bolsters, mirror polished and double miter cut.
Brown/Tan mammoth ivory handle scales with brass corby fasteners. I think for stability with this material a mechanical as well as adhesive joint is a great idea as it wanted to helicopter-twist during flattening the backs.
9 ounce vegetable tan sheath.
