Don Hanson III, MS " Big Motha"

This is the latest Don Hanson addition to my collection and it is a beast.

14 & 5/8" blade, forged from 1084, W2, 15N20 & 203E, 20" overall length. Damascus fittings, 18k gold pin, and a rather large fossil walrus ivory handle. As you can see it is deserving of the name "Big Motha" I believe this is the largest fixed blade to date from Don. I think I could cut easily down a large tree with this knife. I have added a couple of photos to show just how big it really is. Note the Indian Head nickel in the first photo. In the the next photo, the second largest blade is 11". Paul Long as you can see contributed his standard of excellence. The beautiful black sheath with elephant leather inlays.

Thanks for looking, Jon

You may be into "short sword" territory with that one! It's hard to find fault with any of Don's knives and this one is no exception. Outstanding knife.
