I sent some of my curly pine off and got it stabilized. I finished his today,it's for the lady who gave me the curly pine.
D-2 steel with curly pine and my custom made brass corby bolts.

I really like that. Simple.

Yes Frank, simple. At least it should have been simple, let me tell you why it wasn't.
I intended to use some 3/16" corby bolts I had on hand. The tang and scales were already drilled for them. I got out my 3/16" counterbore with 1/8" pilot,it was so dull it would not counterbore this wood so I tried to counterbore with a 3/16" drill bit,I got it off center on the first hole so instead of making new scales I spent the rest if the day making these 1/4" x1/8" corby bolts. I needed a #2-56 die to thread the male portion of these bolts so I called a friend to borrow his but he wasn't around so I called a localy owned hardware store to see if they had on and they did! So after a twenty mile round trip to the hardware store I got to work and made these. I had a 1/4" counterbore with changeable pilots but did not have an 1/8" pilot so I had to grind down the pilot to 1/8" before I could counterbore these holes.
So see, what should have been a simple build turned out to be anything but simple!

Thank you all for your compliments,I really appreciate the feedback I get from y'all.
