The Skinner has CPM D2 steel with Buffalo Horn spacers & Carbon Fiber handle.

Hello Gill, Thankyou. Hey Randy thank you also. Gill makes a super clean knife. Fit and finish perfect.

Thanks guys, I'm sure I'll have more customers asking for Dougs work......I cant wait ( :

Gill, that is outstanding, as usual. I really like that design and Doug's engraving makes it just that much better. I'd have to think long and hard before I decided to take that one to the woods.

That's a beautiful piece of work. How much time do you think you have in that knife?

Thanks Tom, as for how long it takes to make this knife ....It would be safe to say that the bulk of the work on this knife is the engraving, for the knife it's hard to put a finger on time, my bench is filled with knives and I work on whatever I feel up to for the day.

What he said! I just Sent some Culinary Blades I ground of CPM-D2 out Yesterday to heat treat.
Can't wait to get them back!

Laurence

You cant go wrong with CPM D2, takes a great edge and it's a nice steel to work with that will also take a great mirror polish.
