First Grind -TW90

I'm loving this new grinder. The variable speed is a definite plus. I've got to be careful, I have so much muscle memory from the KMG I'm reaching for stuff on the TW90 that's not there!
Anyway here is my first grind on the TW90 and the first customer knife order for 2019. Also a glow in the dark photo!

The photo is just after quenching and grinding the scale off. It's ready for two 400 degree cycles in the oven!

looking good Paul, that variable speed can save a knife sometimes, if you screw things up you can sometimes use a finer belt and run it slow to remove mistakes without hogging away a lot of steel.

I agree! I like that the speed can be controled for different applications. I’ve also noticed that the variable speed direct drive is much quieter running than the belt drive machines.

Not yet. But most likely will get one sometime this year.
