Third folder,a Christmas present for my son.
Its 7 1/4" open with a 3 1/8" blade.
The blade is flat ground. The blade and spring are 3/32" A2 tool steel.
The scales are Mammoth Ivory.
The bolsters are 303 stainless soldered to 304 stainless liners.
The liners are relieved by electro-etching rather than milling. 304 stainless is not free machining and not fun to work with, but its inexpensive!
In fact, if it were not for the mammoth ivory scales this knife would have cost less that $10.00 for the material. So those that are hesitant to try a slip joint could give it a go for a few bucks. The key for those of us without a surface grinder is to start with precision ground annealed stock. A2 is relatively inexpensive.

Don you're right it looks like I marked the knife "Stickleg". Ha! Bad enough for a knife maker to have the last name "Stickles" as I do.:1:
 
very well done!!! Can i ask you what pin material did you use where is the ivory? I'm deciding if i should dare to pin my ivory with SS or if it would be much safer nickel silver

I used 3/32 303 stainless for the pins. I gently peened one side and that worked OK. I wimped out on the other side and used ultra thin super glue. The fit was tight enough before gluing that it was holding without glue. But I glued them anyway.
