Hello Dogs, my name is Tom Maciak from SE Michigan. I'm here to re-kindle my aspiration for forging tomahawks. In 2000/2001 I went to a few hammer-ins, made my own propane forge, got a huge chunk of 4140 for an anvil, researched, studied and was ready to go. Then kids happened, two beautiful girls. Forging went on hold for 12 years for quieter hobbies. During that time I became a whip maker and wood turner, which I still love to do. But it's time to get to making tomahawks. I dork things out a little more than maybe I should being an Engineer and research at nausium, so I'll try to limit questions for more trial and error (and the search function).
