Sam, thanks for the participation. Some of these are mind bogling. I love the shooting swords and this wheelock in post 26 is my favorite. I want to make a wheelock sometime soon. It looks to have a long barrel, rare for a pistol sword. The barrel and the sword blade is the same piece of steel. That must be hard to do.

There seems to be several variations of the bladed pistol. Here is one of them. I do know the Navy put out bids and got some entrys from I dont know how many gun companies. This may be one of them. I wish I knew my history better. Colt recieved the bid for their Elgin.

Whoever made this one didnt have the modern distractions we have today. I wonder if he took time out to eat and sleep.

Hey guys,
I did a review for American Express on the Merriman Knife Pistol. Below. I own three of them and on the list for one of Bruce's beauties. Enjoy!

Clever design Mike. I wish I could handle it to see what makes it tick. Amazed to see a wheel inside. What type of gun does it fit?
Thanks for the addition.

I don't know for sure what it fits but it looks like an M16 bayonet to me. It is a 5 shot .22 cal revolver. I saw it at a gun show a couple of years ago. The company that made it has gone out of business.

Here is a link to video of it being fired http://policelink.monster.com/videos/videos/2148-grad-knifegun-combo
