Hidden screws and tools?

Self Made Knives

I'm becoming very intrigued with hidden hardware on folders. I love the idea of handing one to someone and they can't see a single exposed screw. I've been looking at a couple of makers that do this, and one guy, Stan Wilson, has even shown how one of his designs works and its pretty amazing.

My question, does anyone make miniature right angle screw/torx drivers? I've searched online and came up empty. Are these guys just making their own tools? Anyone have any good resources for more info about hidden hardware folders?

Calvin is right at least as far as I'm concerned. I have made a few of these and came up with a piece of torx in a long very narrow piece of material which happened to be some scrap titanium.

I figured so, I guess it wouldn't be that hard to make. How about any resources on design ideas or how to stuff? Books? Videos? Or even some other well know makers that use hidden hardware? All top secret stuff probably, but can't hurt to look.

As Calvin said! ;)

I can tell you what i would do:
Cut the torx driver head and silver solder it 90° to the shaft (or to a thin plate)...voilà :) I bet also epoxy would do the trick with less heat to the tool.

Customer's may not like the hidden screws, at least if they ever wanted to take it apart, but it sure looks good. What do you guys think about just having hardware show on one side only? Keep the presentation side slick and have your screw heads only showing on the lock side? I've got another liner lock designed and just ordered some new counterbores, anxious to start. The first liner lock I made is going to end up in a shadow box probably. I'm going to put up the very first knife I made and the first folder to keep for display, and as a reminder of where I started.
