Honduran Rosewood

i actually just used it on a knife that I just finished up a little while ago.

I liked the wood, seems to work kinda like ironwood or cocobolo.

I sanded to 1200, then put a couple coats of tung oil(just in case) then buffed.

Walt2, this is Honduran Rosewood Burl and I have on probablems with it .

Thanks for the answers. I obtained a set of what the seller called swirly burl scales. From what I can see as I started working on the scales, I like the looks and the way it grinds.

I've done a little with it. My piece had huge pores in it. I didn't like that. Some varieties don't.
It can vary from looking pretty bland to pretty exciting depending on the piece. In some people, it can cause an allergic reaction but it is on the low end of that kind of issue.
