issues with U3 on a flash drive

I have a flash drive with U3 but it will not open anymore. I am not very good with computers so it could just be I am going something wrong, anyone who uses or used U3 know what it might be?

It is a 4 GB sandisk cruzer. I have had it for a for a year or two and it used to work fine if that changes anything.

I've had problems with the U3 on Sandisk USB drives too. As David mentioned....the first thing I do with Sandisk USB drive is to format them, to get rid of the U3. In your case, I would suggest that you copy/paste all the files from the USB drive to your desktop or a folder, then format the USB drive to get rid of everything on it.

The U3 application is enough of a pain that I usually avoid buy sandisk USB drives. I wait until Walmart has the PNY USB drives on sale, and purchase that brand.
