Here are some pic's of my 2nd slipjoint, that I finished up this morning.

The blade and spring are O1.

The scales are Cocobolo.

The liners and locking liner are brass and the bolsters are nickle sliver.

Overall I pretty happy with how it turned out. I had to cheat a bit on getting my mark darkened evenly. I taped off the area after making a deep etch and then used gun bluing to darken it.

Thanks to everyone on the forum for all the great info you post on your work. It has been very helpful to me. Thanks especially to Calvin Robinson for his help and advise and thanks to Don Robinson for giving me a good deal on the etcher and tips on how to use it.

Let me know what you think.

Jim,
That really turned out nice, makes me proud to have been a part of it.
Don't forget to bring it to the Blade Show with you?

Thanks for the complements, guy's.

Calvin - I plan on bringing it with me, along with the bad and the ugly, I've made.

I have one more of this pattern to build. I have a set of imitation stag that I'm going to use on it. After that I'm going to try to find a different pattern to work on, haven't decided what it's going to be yet, but I'm sure I'll get a lot of inspiration at the Blade Show.

Jim,
Thats a fine looking little folder. Also there is no cheating on how you put the logo on. Whatever works id great.
