Kauri Spear - A new one from Don Cowles

This knife is one Pop (Don Cowles) just finished, in CPM154 steel. He engraved the 416 stainless bolsters, and the scales are stabilized Kauri wood from New Zeeland that fell into a bog more than 50,000 years ago. It is the oldest workable wood in the world. Pins are 14K gold.

Very Nice. Don.. I like the engraving, adds a touch of class to a knife.

Where do I find some of that wood? I really would like to try it out!
