Little Damascus Skinner

I finished this one today. I had issues with this build for a number of reasons but this is the finished blade. It feels good in hand and the Alabama damascus took a super sharp edge.

Thanks, this one might end up to be my wife's hiking buddy as she really liked it and it fit her hand well.
I left the pommel end natural with just a high sand and a polish.

That will make a dandy little EDC for your wife. I do like the low profile finger guard of the bolster. I often see the end of the guard stick down way to far and it bcomes a magnet for getting caught on things. That knife will just plain work and look good doing it.

Thank you! The guard is from front to back- vintage micarta, G10 spacer, brass, G10 spacer.

I've been meaning to ask this for a while. When working with antler how much of an odor does it generate? My wife is extremely sensitive to odors. And while she rarely comes out in the garage where my shop is, she almost always comments on some odor even if it's been a while.

I sanded a deer antler a couple of weeks ago and it was somewhere between burnt hair and possum vomit on the stank scale!

The smell does not bother me. In fact the smell of micarta bothers me more.
