My old truck

I built this hot rod about 15 years ago. 1950 Chevy,I drag raced it and drove it on the street until I built my 1938 Chevy coupe,a dedicated drag car. After I quit racing this truck I did a lot more work to it,added a Fat Man rack and pinion front suspension,mono leaf rear suspension,air cond and heater and finished the interior. It has a ZZ4 crate engin,350 CID,355 hp,Holly 850 double pumper,three speed auto transmission and a Chevy 12 bolt rear end. It will run the 1/4 mile in 13 seconds @ 100 mph. I got sick and tired of hot rodding and drag racing about 4 years ago and parked this truck. I got it running today and cleaned it up and I enjoyed it! So I'll be driving to some local cruise in's and such but I'll never go racing again.

I am not into drag racing or racing of any kind but I sure can appreciate a well built older lady. Very nice looking truck!!!!!

I am a old truck lover for using as a truck and a bit of cruzing!
She looks pretty, I am sure you switched her over to 12 volt. My favs are the 55-58 Chevys. Straight six 235 and a four speed with granny first gear. I miss my 55.

Dang Calvin, I think I remember seeing this truck here in and around Milton, before, not recently but back a while! That is a sweet looking truck my neighbor used to have one looked like that when I was a kid, (stock not a hotrod).:biggrin: Not sure of the year, but had the switch on the dash and floor starter instead of key. Boy that sure brings back memories! Love the truck. She is just SWEEEEEEEEEEET!

You probably have seen it around,I used to drive it quite a lot,I would drive it to Emerald Coast Dragway,race,then drive it home. I drove it to lots of car shows and cruise in's around Milton,Pace and Pensacola. I drove it to Montgomery Alabama and entered into the Super Chevy drag race where I won Editors Choice of all the drag cars,we were in Super Chevy magazine.
Keep your eyes open because I will be driving it again,if you see me be sure to introduce yourself,I'd like to meet you.

Tracy,
It's quiet,I used to have loud mufflers on it but got tired of them so I quieted it down. I do have cut outs that I can open up
and uncapped the headers and its loud then!
 
I've come back and looked at the pictures of your truck several times and I like more every time I see the pictures.
