Can one of you fine folks tell me what satin finish belt you use. I looked at Tracy's site and they come in Coarse , Medium and Fine . I am thinking fine is what I am after , but not sure. I want to put a nice satin finish on a few folders . Thanks in advance . I'm talking about the 2"X72" Klingspor belts .
 
If you want satin, you want the fine non-woven belt. The coarse will spark and move a lot of metal and is better for rust removal than finishing.
 
Thanks its been so long since I did any with a satin finish .
 
I like the medium Scotchbrite belt the best, and I think it is probably the most commonly used. It is green.
