So i am pretty new to making knives. Here is the latest one. Still need to finish sand and finish the handle.:steve:
Ok, so i am doing this for the BF Pay It Forward build. It is from a damascus blank i bought from someone on the BF forums about 6 years ago. Ok specs are
Blade: 1080 and 15n20 damascus
Blade Length: 7 inches, sharpened edge 6.25 inches
Blade Thickness at Spine. 5/16 with distal taper.
Guard: 5/8 copper with a milled face and step( milled in seppa
)
Handle: Exhibition Grade Birdseye Maple.
Handle Length: 4 3/4
This is the 7th knife i have made. Delbert Ealy did the heat treat @ 1500 then quench in parks 50. it went through 3 2 hour temper sessions at 400*
I spent some time sculpting it a bit.
I am working to make each knife better and better, just a long road to go.
Any and all comments are welcome
Thanks for looking
Mike
