Forged this hammer, and the punch and drift in about 2 hours today after work. started with 1045 in 1.5" square by about 4.5" long.

Here is my setup, I use the big 5 pound offset for driving the punch and drift, the articulated tool tray holds water for cooling, off to the side is my punch lube.

What a sweet hammer! I LOVE hammers! And I agree on seeing a W I P on building one!!!
One question though, why a cross peen and not a straight peen? I know a lot of that is preference,
but if I was making one I would make either a straight or the angled type, I have all straight peens and one
Angled peen that I re-ground, I have NOT ever found a decent straight peen (that I could afford).

Wonderful work, Tai, you do some incredible pieces, not only in your Blades, but also your tools!!!
very inspiring!!!!!

So sorry Sam, I had just gotten done reading a long thread about "Stringers",that Tia had started.
But yeah, that could be a compliment you BOTH are pretty amazing, in your own rights! Again, sorry about the
mistake, Rex
