Plain Hunter

I have not made a plain stainless hunter in a long time, has a 5" blade is 9 1/2" overall , the blade is 440C 416 guard, black micarta handle, the tang was not big enough to make a full tang, rabbeted out each side of the handle material so the tang has room used two internal pins in the front and the thong hole tube in the back to keep it lined up and epoxyed it together, have a little tool I use to get any excess epoxy out of the inside before it sets up.Put it on just as you would a framed handle finished the handle and guard on the knife. Made this for a watch repair guy am needing his help, trying to make some cases for old pocket watches out of damascus, the scrappers are melting the great old gold case's. Deane

Very well done- that's a nice clean job on that one and like the back story. It would take some real talent to make a damascus watch case- you'll have to show us those wips.

I really like that! The clean lines, fit and finish and the understated mosaic pins and jimping plus,it's a hidden tang,I really like it!

Thanks for the kind comments guys, when I get to a point of progress will post some pictures, think the only thing that will give me a problem is the winding stem. Calvin if you weren't so faraway I would come and get some instructions on making folders, yours are very nicely done. Deane
