The "Illi-sota" Hunter

The result of a move long desired, from Illinois to Minnesota.
This Damascus was made to make the last knife I sold while in Illinois.
It made the trip to my new location in Northern Minnesota.
I wanted my first knife in Minnesota to be a little different.
I "skived" out the steel in the handle where the scales go.
Stabilized curly walnut from northern California.
Bullseye pins to eliminate peening stress on the handle material.
Mirror polished spine.
Hot blued 324 layer 1095 and 15N20.
9 inches overall.

Thanks for letting me share.

Welcome to Minnesota neighbor. You are in some pretty country there.
Keep an eye for a bunch of hardwood burls when you are about up there.

Karl, that is a very nice knife. Welcome to Minnesota. I hear you will be a demonstrator next spring, and I look forward to meeting you then! Any excuse to go up North is a good one, especially when it has to do with knives.
