I like versatility. Yesterday I posted a CPM154 slipjoint. Today I'm posting a hidden tang skinner forged from a 1958 Ford leaf spring. Both are sole authorship.

This knife started it's life as a part of a '58 Ford. I forged it to shape in my forge and then did the heat treat in my kiln. The guard is brass, with black micarta and brass spacers. The contoured handle is cocobolo that I purchased from the widow of a knifemaker. Enjoy the pics. One legitimate question though: does the guard stick down too far? Might shorten it up a bit based on feedback.

Jason that looks real good. I like the long guards- Randall knives generally have long 2 1/4" guards which I have copied and think look good and protect hand more.

Jason,
Nice looking knife, really like the contour of the handle and the long guard looks fine. The guard does look a bit "long-ish" with the knife by itself but when in the hand it looks just right, very functional I would say. Good job!
