Unique handled Riverside Dagger

This is the first time I have seen anyone on these forums post a knife with this handle material. The knife itself is my attempt at a Riverside Dagger by Mr Loveless. The knife is 10" long over all and made of 440C, The tang is tapered and the guard is 416. I have a sheath that is currently drying and I will post pictures of that later.

Oh, yes, the handle material. I have relatives that are Inuit and as such they have access to some very unique material. A while ago they sent me a bag full of baleen. Sort of whales tooth and fingernail all rolled into one. I stabilized it and used it on this knife. It is absolutely wonderful to work with and the depth and sheen on the black is incredible.

I hope you like this, please give me your feedback.

Thanks
Steve

VERY nice!! Would you share how the guard is put on? Does it slide on from the blade side?

Very very nice. I must have stared at your fist pic for 5 min. Baleen? I never would have guessed. I think I have a piece, I will have to dig it out.
