Another Sleek little Sticker

Hey Guys ,
A few weeks ago I posted a thread called " Sleek Little Sticker " Design Modification" I went on to explain that I made a blade that I wasn't happy with, but ended up selling it to a guy that wanted a little knife and loved it..
A few days later , I took my son to an archery competition. While watching the shoot, a guy came up to me looking to buy a knife similar to the "SLS" knife I sold a few weeks ago. (This guy happened to be a friend of the guy who bought the "SLS".)
He loved that little knife so much he wanted one for himself. He wanted the same type of scales and he wanted some jibbing on the top of the spine and no file work.I ended up making this one for him. I used 3/32 pins instead of 1/8 on this one. Im gonna deliver it tomorrow at a game dinner we're both attending.
Its funny how things happen. I had originally threw that "SLS" blade in the pile of scraps and ended up bringing it back to life and selling it . Who knew that Id end up selling another one . Lets see what tomorrow brings .

I was also messing around with different color backgrounds in the light box.

Thanks for looking.

That IS a sweet little sticker for sure Mike! Looks like you got your bolsters really shiny too. I like the thumb grip on the spine, and that wood looks really nice!
I had a similar experience with a knife I sold a guy. Funny how something can appear one way to a person and another way to another person.
I guess that's because we arent all the same.
I see you did a tri-weave pattern on the sheath. I am not a fan of tooling the tri-weave pattern and try to avoid it if possible. Some people seem to like it, but it can be a trick to have it come out right.
How did your son do in competition?

Thanks Eric . It truely is amazing how different people really are. Who knew ??
I wanted try some tooling with something different this time. It is actually the very first time I used this stamp. It is a pain to get it right , you hit that one on the head. The bolsters need some more work. I get them to shine but it took a while to get there.

As for Mikey ? He shot a 290 out of 320. He came in first place. He's awesome ! Thank you for asking.

wow , i love the combo, its absolutly a beautiful knife. The whole package. If you had not said so , i could not tell this was the first time that you used that stamp. Scott

Mikey,
I really like the design of this style you have. You really seem to be a natural, keep them coming.

You have a winner Mike.
I remembered the first one, thinking you hit on a design that could become your signature piece. Time to go into production mode.

Mickey,
Sweet Sticker!
I really like it all! Great work on a "design modification"!

We always forget that most new discoveries are really accidents. People are looking for or trying to make something else. LOL

I really like the colors of the sheath and handle also.

Keep them coming.

Im havin a little lunch rite now , lovin all the kind words from my KD Bros and happy to be part of a GREAT FAMILY !! Thanks Guys!

GREAT knife & sheath Mikey !

Stamp looks perfect to me.

Two points to think about for future SLS's. Nothing mandatory of course just sharing my preferences-

Flat grind the edge MUCH thinner. Between .010 and .015 would be about ideal IMHO. The closer to ten the better ;)

A slight angle on the bolster faces would be an improvement to my eye. 45 degrees would be way too much and 20 not enough. Somewhere around 30 would be good I think. Give it a try ... You'll like it :)

Beautiful work Bro !!!
