WHO"S INTERESTED????

I have a line on a large quantity of Cold Rolled Annealed 5160. It comes with mill certs and is really nice stuff. It is all.230 thick. I wanted to put out some feelers and see who might be interested in some before I buy it all.

Steve told me about this stuff....and from what I can remember the size of the bars is something like 1/4" X 7" X 96", but I'm not 100% sure.

The big deal here is that this material is certified cold rolled 5160! It's almost impossible to find cold rolled 5160, and due to the cold rolling, and the certification, it should be super clean (no inclusions like we see in modern hot rolled 5160).

Steve will probably jump in here and give more information, but if this stuff is what I'm fairly sure it is.....ITS GOOD!

IF you could find this type of material commercially, it would likely be $12+ per pound! Hope I didn't just step all over Steve, but you just don't find this type of 5160 any more.

Now that I've said all of that....you guys really don't want any of itcool 1
The less you folks buy, the more I can buy!!:D:p

Ed is correct.
The dimensions are .230x7"x96"
I have approximately 2000 lbs that I think I can get, but in order to get it I think I am going to have to buy it all!!

I will probably have the bars cut in half to make shipping easier.
The bars in their current dimensions are just a bit over 44 lbs. each.

I have no idea what the price will be yet. Right now I am just trying to figure out how I can afford to get it...

I would really be interested, but as a hobbyist I would really only be looking at buying a couple feet so I'm not sure if I'd be able to get in on it...

Im all over this as well, would def want at least one sheet, cutting it into quarters to ship would be ok with me.

It looks like we have enough people interested to put a pretty good dent in that 2000 lb if the price is right.

I just need a price to determine the amount I'll buy. I'm deffinitely in.
