Chop saws, Whos using what?

I didn't see it mentioned, so I'll throw it out. It's not uncommon for me to go through one chopsaw a year in my shop (along with several CASES of blades). Last time I decided to give the Rigid brand chopsaw a go.....mainly because Rigid offers a lifetime warranty. Supposedly, once you've registered the saw with Rigid, if it fails, you simply take it to a local repair center, and if it cannot be repaired, you get a new saw. So far I've not had to test it, but considering that this saw has been in the shop for over two years now....which is about 2x the time that any other brand has survived in my shop, it's already a winner in my book.

Ed, We had gone through 3 of them in a year.. Most were the cheaper HF till this one.. and the last HF one was the biggest one they ofer and was still working when we replaced it. But the bearings were hit and it chattered real bad and was starting to be dangerous..

I would of went with a Rigid. After talking with you about it.. But I had already ordered this one. And somehow it came the very next day after placing the order on Amazon. And well.. Once it was here I figure I would give it a go.. So far Im very happy with it. When It dies.. I will try the Rigid..

Let us know when that thing gives out on ya and how they handle it at the service center. I would like to know.. :)

God Bless YA!
Randy
