Hello from AR.

Just wanted to say hi and give a quick intro. Rex from McClellan Made Blades sent me over from another forum. I live in North East AR, am 40, but didn't get bit by the smithing bug until about 3 months ago. I built a coal forge, joined a local ABANA state chapter and have been hooked ever since. I have always loved knives so after my forging skills were somewhat manageable at least :) , I started trying my hand at knives. I have been obsessed since. Currently just working with spring steel. I'm trying to learn all I can, buying books, down loading ebooks, scouring the web, and of course good old youtube. Looks like there's plenty more to read and learn here.

Thanks again Rex!

Welcome to KD Eddie. I think you have a fairly severe case of the knife bug! Hope to see some of your work soon.

Thanks guys.

Still trying to read all I can.

I have started a few knives, would really like to to finish one now : ) .

The attached pic is a template I made tonight from a pattern I made myself. My first passion is my Mt Curs that I coon and squirrel hunt. This knife, with a 3" blade and just over 3" handle is my attempt at a small game skinner I can use this fall.
