Just noticed the intro page. Just signed up here. Been making knives for a while, pretty much for friends, then friends of friends, and I just recently launched my company, Jericoh Blade Works and am now a full time maker. Extra full time actually with all the backorders. I am a pro photographer and my wife and I own a design and advertising company, but with the economy the way it is, the jobs aren't rolling in like they used to.
My love of knives started way back in culinary school. The love of knives stuck... the love of cooking in restaurants not so much. I have lived in Cumming, GA for about 5 years and before that lived in Telluride, CO. Been married for 18 years, have a 3 year old son, a monster sized German Shepherd, and a micro sized Jack Russell. Also into watches and cycling.
Here is one of my knives, the Conquest Mk V. 1095, 1/4" thick, 5" blade and 2" tall, black micarta handle. The good sir, Brad at Peter's, does the heat treating for me.
