I've made a few knives so far, however this one is that first, that's slightly out of the ordinary, I was aiming for a Bud Nealy-esque, sort of small fixed blade. I'm having second thoughts, about the absence of a finger choil, but I'm unsure. I like the aesthetics without, and I realize the handle, is supposed to be backed up by the palm, but I'm not sure how ergonomic that'd be. Has anybody here attempted to make small, choiless knives like this ? I know the whole psuedo-Japanese thing wears on some people, but I was thinking of attempting a handle wrap when all said and done.
I apologize for the crudeness of the profile, it's just that I didn't want to progress too far on this one, without a bit of consultation.
