Osage Orange and 1095

This one is my first one for the year. Hope y'all like it.This is the first time for me to use Osage Orange..... Man, this Osage wood burns so easy, even with a brand new belt?

Stats:

Steel.....3/32" 1095 with a Flat grind and is Convex sharpened.

Scales.....Osage Orange (Tru-Oil finish) then shine toned down some with
some 0000 steel wool.

Widest part of blade.....1 1/2"

Blade Length.....4"

Overall Length.....8 1/2"

Pins.....1/8" brass

Leather.....7 to 8 oz. veg leather with (dark brown oil finish)

Nice. Your right about osage burning easy but it sure makes a nice handle. Especially once it has had a chance to age a bit. It will darken up and has a really nice "warm" feel too it.

I need to do some more knives with the high carbon steels. I sure like the way they take a patina and along with a handle like that one you have a really neat package there.
