Jeff you have come a long ways from your first pic. What is that roller to between the clone and the 1x30? New machine? Love the metal benches.

Some pictures of my shop.

Keep in mind that this used to be the shop that I worked on my drag race cars and other hot rods.

Lookin' more like a shop now Jeff! When you first posted pictures it looked like a showroom :D

Thanks. Yes, the oven is home made. I bought aluminum silicate insulation boards and heater wires and made a very solid body. It has about 40 cycles of HT and it still running. I HT RWL34, 440B and some carbon and spring steels.

Since we don't finish moving onto the ranch until August 1st, this is a prelimary pair of shots of my NEW shop building

Oh, I have PLANS. It is 12x20, so a bit small, even with the forging patio (previous owner being a farrier, it really is a forging patio).

Since I need to do some roof work anyway, I'm pulling that end out and framing another 12 feet in. 12x32 will be very reasonable, since I have to close 8 feet off for the leather benches.

Exciting :)

of course the shop wouldnt be complete without a 25 yard practice archery range ( inside the doors is a stacked carpet target ).

After having a water line burst and flood the place with about 4" of water back in November ( unfortunately the prior owners ran all water lines thru the ceilings ) , I have spent that past 6 months re-drywalling , cleaning , painting and last week started the rewiring. It is almost done , a few more wiring runs and I will be back in action. It will be nice knowing exactly what is on what circuit and knowing that I don't have to worry about running too many things at once. All goes well , in another month , I can get back to knife making ( instead of shop repairing ).
