Working with G10

Can someone give me some tips on polishing g10. Everytime I get it sanded down and start to buff it all that compound gets lodged in any crevis especially in the edges of the handle and I cant get it out without sanding it again. How do I solve this problem of polishing and keeping the handle clean as well?

I use a product called "Goof Off" to clean it. I sand to 15 micron with a fresh belt, sometimes using some fine sandpaper by hand as well, then I buff aggressively with a sisal wheel and white compound. The G10 loads up with black crud but the cleaner strips it all back off. It even works well with the blaze orange and high viz yellow I've found. Lighter fluid has a similar effect.

Ok thanks, I would think that these solutions would then dull it back but I will give it try. The colors I am seeing the worst results on are the white and the orange.
