A "little" something I´ve worked on

for a looong time.
Handfiling the bolster/guard alone toom longer then I´d like to share.
OAL : 21,5" and a blade at 15 3/4" and some really interesting handle material.
Enjoy folks..
I´ll most likely NEVER make one again.

To be honest the idea to this came (sadly) from the late Mr. Jody Samson.
I felt inspired by his work when looking at it and this was born.
 
Managed to cold brown the bolster after beadblasting it coarse and then fine to give an illusion of it being a bronze cast.Kinda did okay.
Buffed the handle and put the pieces together.
Here´s the result so far.

I´ve got a piece of steel milled out for an integral WITH a Sub-hilt.
That will come in near future..
(oh,if any of you see Capn´Ahab....he still owes me 20 bones and a harpoon)

The steel was not milled by me..
BTW... only chickens pin bolsters on hehehe
 
This is getting off track REAL fast hahaha.
You sub hilt is nice Les
No doubt bout it...just wish you´d made an integral
