Yeah, I can relate Appleby,,,Once upon a time, I "tattooed" for a living for quite a while,,,got 22 of them myself. They look good even on us darker skinned guys.

Viking Broadsword

I made this some time ago when I thought a sword would be a neat thing to make. I spent two days and 120kg worth of coal to hammer this ***** out. Since then I have put swords on hold. It weighed about 3 kg and was about 1,4 meters long.

What is the blade length on your Wakizachi Sumo,,,about 18" or so? By the way, very nice,,,like the design.
