What's going on in your shop?

Spent $33 on Amazon for 2, Vintaj brand 8oz ball peen hammers and 2, 3/8" carbide balls. The heads were noted as being pretty soft in the reviews, which is why I went with them. Their quality is poor, but for a straightening hammer, it doesn't matter! About 5 minutes to drill the holes with a stone/tile and glass bit and they were done! I put the balls in to make sure they were deep enough and they stuck in on their own. Whacked against wood and metal and balls stayed in place. Straightened out several blades with the more off center drilled one and no issues!

These work better than my Drill Bit Carbide hammer I made a while back, which is nice! CH2.jpgCH1.jpg

And yes, I need to clean up my shop and floor!

Lost and found - panic!
Cleaned up my cluttered work bench yesterday. To day I couldn’t find a blade I’m working on. Searched high and low and tried to retrace steps. Ran out of places to look - almost - went through my thirty gallon trash can and found the blade in the bottom. I keep 5 gallon buckets by the bench which when full I empty into the bigger trash can. Close to being a major screw up because I was getting ready to take trash to the waste site.

Finished these 2 interesting orders up! Customer had her father in laws cremated ashes made into scales for these 2 knives as gifts for her husband. The pocketknife was made out of the bone remnants and the fixed blade has the ashes mixed in with the dark green alumalite

That is pretty cool, but I can see how it may be hard to work with...
