Who makes and sells forges?

Post any information here please... We'll put together a list...:3:

I don't sell forges buy I do have Inswool, castable refractory, infared reflective Plistix and soft fire brick.
I am looking into building a forge with a ribbon burner.
I am happy to talk to anyone who wants to build a forge and give the benefit of my experience.

Johnny Jones, a member of our Central Arkansas Knifemakers Group, make a pretty neat little forge that gets dang hot pretty darn quick. I haven't used one yet, but I've watched several smiths use the one Jerry Petty has at his shop during meetings. If anyone is interested in them, I would be more than happy to provide Johnny's e-mail address.

Here are a few pics of the "Little Johnny" mini forge.

I'm not sure how Johnny markets these, but I know he is constantly looking to improve his design. I'm thinking of picking one up soon, but I'm going to ask him to make a few mods for me. He builds the complete forge as well as kits in various stages of completion.

El Jefe Dog, nice thread, I've been watching this one with interest. I don't use propane ( not yet, but propane is a hundred years old now, getting close enough for me) but , my neighbors at NC Tool make a nice line of forges. They are a farrier supply house with employees that also make knives and also cater to Blacksmith Artists that use big iron (they make a 12 burner forge)
I have used this forge at a Artist Smiths shop and it is very versatile.

Being an open forge guy, cylinder type forges seem very confining to me so I like the design of the front that opens, if that makes sense. Understandable this design would not be as fuel efficient as the more traditional knife forge, ( closed with a small opening) IMHO a 'smith that plays with more than blades may find the offset in fuel worthwhile, as opposed too having two dedicated forges.

They also carry a really neat smaller anvil called "Bigface" that I slobber over. It has a lot of Blacksmith anvil accessories built in it and at a decent price.

This link brings up another page with all the stuff they trade in,

Not only neighbors, good and knowledgeable people........Randy
