Arabian Black Gold Bowie

The last of the gold nugget bowies for awhile at least.
This one is going to oil rich Saudi Arabia thus the name "Black Gold"
It has minimum engraving so my money was better spend on gold inlays by Jere Davidson.
cold rolled frame, spacers and guard. Culpepper amber stag scales held on with 6 14kt gold pins. steel nugget with 24 kt gold plating.
Hot gun blueing allows the gold to stand out brightly.
The blade is my dual mosaic damascus and over 10" long.
Claude Scott sheath tops it off.
My new secret weapon is Caleb Royer Photography. This young man has photo skills.

Wow! Just Wow! I don't know what else to say.

For Halloween, I am going to dress up like Bruce Bump. That way, I can tell all my friends that I am one of the best knife makers in the world.

another winner Bruce.

How are getting the fittings so black?

Understated over the top? It's really kind of both. Tour de force of design and flashy gold, but the
restrained color palette keeps it all in control and just makes it ... WOW!

Beautiful work Bruce. You really nail these nugget bowies. I love the engraving and the gold inlay really sets the whole thing off. Great idea with the gold plated steel Nugget.

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious is the one word that came to my mind that hasn't been used yet and is very fitting.
